Module CRA01

Credit Report Analysis

Read a credit report properly, and catch the history problems that sink an application before it reaches the lender.

A borrower's credit report decides more deals than most support staff realise. This session walks through every part of the report, how to read a credit history, and how credit scoring affects what a lender will do. You will learn to cross-reference what the client told you against what the report actually says, so surprises surface at your desk, not the lender's.

What you will be able to do

  • Read a credit report and explain what each section means
  • Spot the credit-history issues that affect a loan application
  • Cross-reference a client's stated position against their file
  • Flag credit surprises early, before they cost you a decline

Format

  • One live session of two hours, on Zoom, camera on
  • A small group, so there is room for real questions on real files
  • 2 CPD points, recognised by MFAA and FBAA
  • A free re-sit for six months if you want to revisit it
