Module COMP01

Compliance

The compliance a mortgage file needs: the documents, the Credit Guide and Privacy Statement, and a clean Preliminary Assessment.

Compliance is not optional, and getting it wrong is expensive. This session covers the regulations and industry standards that govern a mortgage file, the documents a compliant broker needs, and how to prepare a Preliminary Assessment and Credit Proposal. It also covers explaining the Credit Guide and Privacy Statement to a client in plain terms.

What you will be able to do

  • Understand the legal requirements of a compliant file
  • Obtain the documents compliance requires
  • Explain the Credit Guide and Privacy Statement to a client
  • Prepare and submit a Preliminary Assessment and Credit Proposal

Format

  • One live session of two hours, on Zoom, camera on
  • A small group, so there is room for real questions on real files
  • 2 CPD points, recognised by MFAA and FBAA
  • A free re-sit for six months if you want to revisit it
